Commercial electrical, fire alarm and low-voltage contractor for New York City retail, restaurant, healthcare and institutional fit-outs.
What we do
Life Spot Electric is a licensed NYC electrical contractor. We build power, lighting and low-voltage systems for commercial renovations and ground-up buildings across all five boroughs, working for general contractors and brand construction teams from DOB filing to final inspection.
-
Store fit-outs for national brands, often in occupied buildings and on opening deadlines: T-Mobile, JD Sports, Mattress Firm, Snipes, Warby Parker.
-
Restaurants and hotels, including The Establishment at 75 Rockefeller Plaza, Popeyes restaurants and lighting at the Allegria Hotel.
-
Hospital and veterinary work inside operating buildings: the BronxCare 7th-floor behavioral health unit, Battery Park Veterinary Hospital and Good Vets.
-
Labs, classrooms and campus buildings: SUNY College of Optometry research labs, CUNY College of Staten Island, Yeshiva University and Harmony child care.
-
Ground-up and mixed-use buildings in the Bronx, from service and meter banks to every apartment: 1616 Crosby Ave, 3001 Grand Concourse and 2754 Creston Ave.
-
SUNY and CUNY projects with weekly certified payroll and full close-out packages.
Why general contractors use us
Electrical is our core. Service upgrades and switchboards, feeders, sub-panels and risers, branch power, lighting and lighting controls, installed by our own crews, not subcontractors.
Permits and utility handled. DOB electrical filing and Con Ed coordination are part of our scope.
Detailed bids. Every bid comes with a full takeoff and a list of RFIs, so there are fewer surprises after award.
Low voltage in the same contract. Data, access control, CCTV and audio visual, plus fire alarm design, install and monitoring through our sister company, Life Spot Fire.
Licensed and insured. NYC Master Electrician License #12781 since 2017. $1M/$2M general liability and a $10M umbrella, with certificates of insurance on request.
